BingX API vs Manual Trading: What Affiliate Commissions Cover
Learn why manual trading and API-generated activity must be reviewed separately in a BingX partner commission agreement.
If you operate a trading tool, signals group or algorithmic trading community, the word commission is not enough to define your partner economics. You also need to know which activity produces an eligible fee. API orders, manual trading, discounts and trader rebates can affect the answer.
Why channel type matters
A trader who taps a mobile order button and a system that places orders through an exchange API may generate different types of trading activity. An affiliate agreement can treat those categories differently. The headline rate on a public marketing page must never be assumed to apply to every API-originated trade.
BingX publishes a detailed Partner Commission FAQ with separate questions about API commissions, indirect referrals, fee discounts, rebates and settlement. This separation is a useful signal that partners should request transaction-type-specific terms.
Five terms to request in writing
- Manual-trading rate: the rate applied to eligible non-API trades, including any account-specific requirements.
- API-trading treatment: whether API-generated fees are eligible, calculated under a separate ratio, or excluded.
- Fee base: whether the commission is on gross fees, net actual fees, or fees remaining after trader discounts.
- Rebate allocation: whether a portion of fees is returned to traders before the partner share is calculated.
- Reporting and timing: the Partner Hub report field, settlement currency and time window used for reconciliation.
A partner should be able to repeat the calculation from an actual statement without relying on guesswork.
Review the eligible fee base
Start with the fees shown in the official statement, identify excluded activity and discounts, then apply the confirmed allocation under your agreement. Keep API and manual activity separate where the exchange’s rules require it. Trading volume alone cannot establish commission, and a public headline rate cannot establish your expected payout.
If you promote automation or trading tools
Separate educational explanations from claims that an exchange has approved your product. Do not request users’ API secrets or trading permissions for affiliate recruitment. Confirm whether your permitted marketing includes bots, automated execution tools or third-party trading services. AffiliateTier does not operate trading bots, collect customer exchange keys or execute trades.
