MEXC Referral Code After Registration: Can You Link an Inviter?
Understand MEXC inviter-code linking after signup and why that is different from transferring an existing affiliate or sub-affiliate relationship.
If you forgot to enter a referral code when opening a MEXC account, the answer may depend on how old the account is and whether an inviter has already been linked. There is also an important difference between linking a normal trader’s inviter and establishing a sub-affiliate relationship between two approved affiliates.
The recently registered account scenario
MEXC’s July 2026 Affiliate FAQ says users can add and bind an invitation code within 30 days after registration using the exchange’s customer-service or self-service flow. Ask MEXC support to confirm the current eligibility conditions for your account before making a change. The 30-day reference is a documented window, not a promise of account-specific approval.
Use the official MEXC support binding page or customer service. Confirm you are on the correct exchange domain. Do not give login passwords to someone offering to “fix” your referral code.
What if a referral code is already bound?
MEXC’s Affiliate FAQ says an existing bound invitation code cannot simply be changed or removed. That means trying a new campaign URL is not a reliable transfer method. Ask MEXC support whether any account-specific route exists; do not assume an exception.
This does not automatically make you a sub-affiliate
A normal referrer or inviter-code link concerns the relationship between an invited account and an inviter. MEXC’s sub-affiliate framework, by contrast, requires the appropriate affiliate status on both sides and a separately approved linking request rooted in a valid referral relationship. Read MEXC sub-affiliate linking requirements for the specific business process.
Decision path
| Your situation | Better first action |
|---|---|
| New account without inviter, within the permitted window | Check official self-service eligibility |
| Existing inviter already bound | Ask exchange support; do not assume a replacement link works |
| Approved affiliate exploring a lower-level relationship | Verify referral history and affiliate-linking conditions with BD |
| Already linked to another affiliate network | Obtain case-specific eligibility guidance before any account change |
These categories are for orientation only. The exchange’s final decision and current rules take precedence.
Four mistakes to avoid
- Confusing the normal referral code with a sub-affiliate relationship.
- Assuming a fresh link overwrites the account’s current inviter.
- Sharing a full account identity or sensitive screenshots in a public discussion.
- Presenting an unapproved transfer as a certain benefit.
