MEXC Sub-Affiliate Linking: Requirements and Approval Steps

The MEXC sub-affiliate linking process explained: active affiliate accounts, valid referral links, review requests and what still needs exchange approval.

MEXC uses sub-affiliate to describe a relationship between two affiliate accounts. It is not a separate status you receive automatically by registering, and it is not the same as a trader’s sub-account. The key questions are whether a valid referral relationship exists and whether MEXC approves the link.

The three necessary conditions

MEXC’s official affiliate program documentation says the following must be in place:

  1. Both parties must hold activated affiliate status.
  2. The upper-level affiliate must already have a valid referral relationship with the other account, created through a referral link.
  3. A linking request must be submitted and approved.

A completed affiliate application does not automatically link the account as a sub-affiliate. MEXC also says there is no sub-affiliate relationship without the underlying valid referral link. These requirements matter before an applicant creates or changes an account.

The safe onboarding sequence

Before creating an account

Confirm whether you are a new MEXC user, an existing trader or an existing affiliate, and discuss the correct route with the prospective partner. An existing account may have a referral history that changes eligibility. Do not create an extra account to bypass a referral rule.

After the appropriate affiliate status is active

Check the official MEXC Affiliate Portal and support guidance for the required application. MEXC identifies customer service and its Ticket Center as channels for submitting linking requests. The exchange’s official process may request the UIDs of both affiliates inside its own support workflow. AffiliateTier does not ask visitors to post UID data on a public eligibility page.

Wait for confirmation from the exchange. Ask where both parties can check that the relationship exists. Do not infer approval from a submitted ticket, a sent Telegram message or a pending application.

Can an existing affiliate change the upper-level partner?

Not necessarily. MEXC says a sub-affiliate link requires a valid original referral relationship. Another public MEXC FAQ says an already-bound invitation code cannot simply be changed. There is also a separate self-service inviter-linking mechanism for some recently registered accounts. That tool should not be confused with transferring an existing affiliate relationship.

If an applicant already belongs to another network, obtain a case-specific decision from MEXC. Nobody should market a universal “affiliate transfer” option.

Questions for a partnership review

  • Are both accounts active affiliates, not just trading accounts?
  • Did the new affiliate register through the intended upper-level partner’s link?
  • Has the MEXC linking request been explicitly approved?
  • Where will the payout rate and eligible fee base appear after approval?
  • If account status is uncertain, has BD confirmed the available route in writing?

Our MEXC sub-affiliate overview covers the wider commercial relationship; this page focuses on linking eligibility. For the ordinary inviter-code question, see MEXC referral code after registration.
